Description: 1960s Barber Colman Electrical Aircraft Thermostat One used 1950s or 1960s vintage aircraft electrical Thermostat system component as made for unknown (to me) USAF or USN trainer, transport, fighter or bomber aircraft. Data plate marked with following:AIRCRAFT THERMOSTATF YLD 4060SER 84978CALIBRATE 175DEGREE F RISING TYPECONTACTS 1 AMP 26 VOLTSPEC (LEFT BLANK)ORDER (LEFT BLANK)BARBER COLMAN COMPANY ROCKFORD ILL. U.S.A.Missing very little of the wrinkle finish paint on the top of the unit. Still safety wired together. Bottom is fiberboard or asbestos base. No apparent damage to unit but untested by us. Metal base mount accepts x 3 AN-4 bolts.Power source was 3pin female Cannon connector. Should you require those for wiring application, let us know at auction close and we may have them. The connectors would be a purchase IN ADDITION TO the component sale. Nice shape. Appears to be as-removed condition. A little dusty from warehouse storage. Clearly an electrical application that replaced the old WWII capillary type direct read systems. We have no support paperwork for this piece. What you see in the photo series is exactly what you get. Ships cheapest USPS Priority Mail. Questions? Please ask seller. And thanks for looking!
