Description: My mother’s backyard bungalow houses all the leftover merchandise from a Northern Victorian country town haberdashery, closed for good in the mid-1980s, and I’ve taken on the task of helping her finally clear everything out - I'm selling on Ebay - she's selling 'somewhere else'. As well, to be listed, newer lots purchased for her craft workshops - but nothing, it's reasonably safe to say, would date after the late 1990s. All items are genuine vintage, dating from before 2000, with the bulk dating from the 1970s, 80s and 90s. Considering most is European, Japanese, Australian and USA made, the superior quality of these textiles is very visible. Although some packaging, especially cellophane, and many labels have deteriorated with time, most of the fabrics, laces, trims, braids, webbings, elastics, buttons, threads and embellishments are still in brand new condition, having being well cared for and kept safe in protected storage. Some very old hoards may be a little dusty or soiled around the edges - if this is the case, I will definitely point out any faults under 'condition' in the description.
